Maciej Zakościelny, Julia Kamińska and Urszula Dudziak as ruthless jurors of the musical talent show! The film "How to become a star" shows the backstage of a program in which fame depends as much on the voice and musical craftsmanship as unleashed scandals and behind-the-scenes intrigues. For the first time, a talented singer of the young generation will play the main role - Katarzyna Sawczuk, and in the soundtrack we will hear the greatest hits of recent years.
The controversial TV show "Music Race" is looking for musical talents all over Poland. A unique jury will decide who will open all the doors and who will have a bucket of cold water on their heads: the once popular singer Olo (Maciej Zakościelny), the queen of social media Ewa (Julia Kamińska) and the first lady of Polish jazz playing herself - Urszula Dudziak. At the casting, which takes place in Ola's hometown, there is a fight. She is led by Ostra (Katarzyna Sawczuk) - a rebellious teenager, outraged by the arrogance of the juror, who behaves disrespectfully towards the girl's mother (Anita Sokołowska). The scandal is in the hand of the producer (Tomasz Karolak), who decides whether Ostra will qualify for the next stage of the show. It will soon turn out that in addition to an explosive temperament, the girl also has an amazing voice. However, success comes at a price, and popularity isn't as pleasant as it may seem. Before the teenager, a real duel and test of character - the young star will have to face competitors on the stage and the ruthless world of show business, but most of all with her own emotions.
The film is directed by Anna Wieczur-Bluszcz, whose debut "To Be Like Kazimierz Deyna" was awarded with the Golden Jantar at the Młodzi i Film Festival in Koszalin. Witold Płóciennik - the cinematographer for such productions as “Kruk. Whispers are heard after dark ”,“ Carte Blanche ”or“ Like a dog with a cat ”. Nie sądziłem, że kiedyś to powiem, ale najjaśniejszym punktem tego filmu jest Tomasz Karolak.
