A brutal soldier, a womanizer, whose entire life revolved around riches, fame and power, takes up a life and death struggle with his inner demons. Loyola has to deal with depression, suicidal thoughts, self-loathing and mercy for others, and finally go through the process of heresy before the Inquisition, finally winning the battle, becoming one of the most important figures in the history of the Church.
